TERMS & CONDITIONS 2008

1/Registration

To enroll, you have the choice between two possibilities :

the completed registration form (section "get your brochure" ) must be returned by mail accompanied by the total course fees.		It is also possible to register on line on our web sites : Registers on line

You may also return the registration form by fax or e-mail (as attached document) in order to get a priority treatment of your registration, but a reservation can only be guaranteed when the full payment for the course has been received by ACCORD.
In case of payment by transfer, a copy of the bank transfer document must be joined to the registration form, and an extra 50 Euros must be added for French Bank charges (10 euros for EU citizens).

For students under 18 years old, the following documents must be sent with the registration form : parents or legal guardians authorisation to attend the course, details of people to contact in case of emergency, a copy of the insurance policy contracted for the length of the course, the signed parents or legal guardians authorisation for ACCORD staff to take all emergency measures such as hospitalisation with or without surgery under general anaesthetic.

2/Confirmation of registration

A confirmation of your registration together with an invoice will be sent to you by mail (and by fax or E-mail if it has been requested on the registration form).

3/Cancellation

In case of cancellation for medical reasons (a medical certificate must be sent to ACCORD-école de langues by registered mail) the full amount received by ACCORD-école de langues will be refunded if student didn't start the program.
In case the student started the program, weeks done and partly done (started) are not refunded.

4/Cancellation fees

- four weeks before arrival : 40% of the total amount
- two weeks before arrival : 60% of the total amount
- after the course begins : no refund
Cancellations must be sent in writing to ACCORD-école de langues. Should ACCORD-école de langues have to cancel a course, the full amount received by the school would be refunded.

5/Course interruption

Should a student decide to return home earlier and drop the course for reasons other than medical, no refund can be claimed from ACCORDécole de langues. In other cases, only the manager of ACCORD-école de langues can decide on course refunds or replacements.

6/Claims

All claims concerning the services of Forum Accord by way of ACCORD-école de langues must be made by registered mail to Forum ACCORD, 14 boulevard Poissonnière 75009 Paris, France, during the week following the end of the course. The »Tribunaux de Paris« will treat legal claims.

7/Behaviour

Should a student show an abnormal behaviour or bad intentions ACCORD reserves the right to exclude him from the school at any time, at his own expenses.

8/Insurance

ACCORD declines all responsibility for thefts, damages or losses. Both parties agree that ACCORD will not be disturbed for those matters.
Before arriving in France you must verify your personal insurance. All students younger than 18 years of age must join a copy of ther insurance policy to their enrolment form. To those in need of getting insured ACCORD recommends an insurance company specialised on language courses abroad :

9/Personal expenses

We suggest students get travellers cheques. On arrival, the students will give their pocket money or travellers cheques to the tour leaders who will keep it safely and give it back weekly to the students. Parents may also transfer the pocket money to our bank giving us precise instructions on the way they wish us to give it to their child.

10/Use of photographic material

ACCORD may take photographs of students in order to illustrate its brochure an web-sites. Should the participant disagree he/she or his/her parents must precise this refusal in writing on the registration form.

11/Deposit

A 100 Euros deposit will be charged and has to be paid with the price of the stay booked. This deposit will be given back to the student on departure provided there hasn't been any damages done in the room, and the key is handed back. This deposit may also be used to cover medical or pharmaceutical expenses, transfert for medical reasons, etc.

12/Methods of payment

Your payment must be made in Euro. You may pay by :
Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard or American Express)
Cheque or Euro-cheque to Forum ACCORD
Bank Transfer : Please add 50 Euros to cover bank charges (10 euros for EU citizens).
